branching into others, for a large instrumental field (2011)
Out of a single pitch, an acoustic field of slowly expanding tones emerges, carefully growing in duration, density and dynamics. A large group of instruments are widely dispersed on site, corresponding to architectural and acoustical features, indoors or outdoors. All performers should hear at least some others. Along a consistently developing structure, a bound sculptural field of closely connected and modulating sounds rings out the site.
