‘of Two / Six by 2’  is a site responsive piece for 2 pianos and acoustic resonances. Contingently evolving over 6 consecutive days through moments of both activity and near-stasis, the work probes the transient states of intersection between concert and installation. The piece was first exhibited at the Amsterdam gallery Rozenstraat – a rose is a rose is a rose with pianists Reinier van Houdt and Dante Boon, 13 – 18 October 2020.

The 12 hours of solo piano, piano duet and room recording rendered during this exhibition can be heard on this stream. It is always playing. There is no option to move forwards or backwards or pause. Consider it a room you are welcome to enter, linger around in and exit as you please. Return to as you please. Leave the door open to hear what goes on while doing something else. It is meant to be quiet, an environment which envelops footsteps, muffled voices, distant church bells, weather, as it does resonances and piano tones..
